Please note: Our (former) kitchen’s address is sometimes mis-mapped on mapping programs as being East of Hollis St., however, it is just West of Hollis.
Signage now reads “ITK Culinary” rather than Paulding & Company, as we’ve sold the facility.
Cook! Programs has moved to the other side of the building, and access is now from inside the parking lot (63rd and Overland) to facilitate easy drop-off and pick-up.
From San Francisco: Take the Bay Bridge to the I 80 East Powell Street exit. Turn right onto Powell. Turn left onto Hollis Street (2nd light). Turn left on 62nd. St.
From Sacramento/Berkeley: Take I 80 West, exit Ashby Avenue. Turn right at the first traffic signal, onto Hollis St. Turn right onto 62nd.
From Oakland: Merge onto I 80 from I 580. Powell is the first exit. From I 880, exit at Ashby, stay right at the fork, and cross the RR tracks, go one block to Hollis, turn right to get to 62nd. St.
Parking: Street parking is easy evenings and weekends, however during the week, the North side of 62nd street is permit parking only, and the neighborhood fills with commuter’s cars. Two parking lots have been eliminated, so area parking has gotten difficult. Please leave time to find parking on the surrounding streets, or, use the free 4-hour public garage at 65th and Hollis in the Glashaus complex — there are about 50 spaces, and generally it has not filled but there are no guarantees. During the week, there is $7.00/hour or $30/day parking in two building garages 1 1/2 blocks from Paulding & Company on Horton St.
By BART: Exit MacArthur Blvd. Station. Free Emery-go-Round Hollis North buses run every 10-20 minutes weekdays and every 45 minutes on Saturdays, to the Amtrak Station (1 1/2 block walk). For further information check their website.
By AC Transit: Please check schedules from your starting point.
By Amtrak: Amtrak’s Emeryville Station is 1-1/2 blocks from Paulding & Company, between 59th and 62nd on Overland St. The Capitol Corridor and Coast Starlight trains all stop at the station.
