Summer Plans For Your Kids and Teens Your kids still at loose ends for some of the summer? We just happen to have a great idea for you! Send them to Cook! Programs, where they will have great fun in the kitchen and learn skills that will serve them for the rest of their lives. With programs for 9-18 year olds, a great staff, and delicious subject matter, what could be better? A few of our sessions for 9-12 year olds are already full, and we wanted to feature a few for teens that may have escaped your attention.
Summer Excitement with Cook! Programs We’ve had a tremendous response to the new schedule for summer, with a third of the spots already sold out. If your kids, between the ages of 9-18, love to cook and want to learn more, consider these dynamic programs.
I taught Basic Cooking for 20 years, and have been working (slowly) on a book. Fresh Grit has published an article I clipped from my ever-growing draft. For those of you needing a review of some basic knife skills, check it out! I also was asked to submit a recipe to Chili Pepper Madness, and gave them an updated version of my ultra-simple chili laced egg and tomato dish, complete with pictures.
We love sharing good recipes, and Sugar Loco has published our Panna Cotta recipe. It's a very intresting blog, check it out! We've also been given top billing in Good Company Magazine's monthly newsletter, Snack-Bar and they added their own luscious picture from the test batch. Basil Magazine was the first to publish the recipe, and now, we're all over the net!
Coming to an Online Publication Near You! One of my recipes has been accepted for publication in two places: Basil Magazine’s current issue, and the April 13th edition of Sugar Loco. I sent it out with a rather luscious-looking photo Tracy took of one of our test batches, no doubt enticing the publications to publish it.
Website Milestones Here’s a milestone — Last year in this newsletter, I introduced our new, improved website. It’s hard to believe it’s already been up for a year! We’ve done a bit of an overhaul over the last few days, incorporating the Cook! Programs website into the main site, giving you a convenient, one-stop place to come for all our activities. Including the new camp schedule for summer, which went up just today.
Registration for our Summer 2013 Classes is now officially open! We have a handful of classes on this year's schedule that were so popular last year that we're repeating them: basics and advanced classes, leadership training, and our restaurant class, to name a few. In addition, we are excited to announce many new concepts, among them our first ever field class, where we will be studying honeybees. Enjoy looking around, and hope to see you in the kitchen this summer. Already know what you want to register for?
Happy 2013! Lots new in the kitchen, especially classes for all ages. It’s also a great time to plan that work outing you’ve been putting off, or a stellar party for your birthday. It’s warm and lovely in the kitchen, so come join in the fun! The Holidays Rocked in our Kitchen! We have lots of wonderful, warm, and happy memories of a very busy December. We hosted events ranging from our regular cook-together then dine team building events, to extended family get-togethers, birthday parties, and even an all-day corporate event.
Holiday Crunch We’ve been, and continue to be, very busy in the kitchen lately. We've hosted groups large and small, from an intimate 10-guest birthday, to large corporate events complete with meetings, catered breakfasts, and team building lunches, to family dinners and corporate holiday cocktail parties. Here are a few pictures from one of our recent events. A group of 62, a lavish buffet of “small plates” savories and sweets, and a lot of fun.
Oakland Magazine has featured Paulding & Company in the Six Questions section in the December issue. A few months ago, we were featured on American Express' Open Forum website last June. We love good press, and are vey proud of this entry. We'll soon have some more good press to share!
