The COOK! Apprenticeship Program (CAP) is a hybrid work training/culinary training course that spans the summer. Apprentices join our core staff as advanced students and teachers' assistants, doing a variety of tasks throughout the day, from cooking to overseeing the running of our commercial kitchen, to helping younger students develop their skills. Because this is an advanced program, we require that all Apprentices take a course with COOK! prior to participation. If you are new to our program, we recommend joining our Chef In Training camp and then transitioning into an apprenticeship later in the summer (application process will still apply). 

By completing the "registration process," student and guardian will be submitting a formal application for the program. Once we receive your application we will contact you to set up a phone interview. When you are accepted into the program you will be billed for the number of weeks you choose to participate in, at $125 per week. The tuition for this course is kept minimal, to cover our costs, and because we require a high level of participation from our Apprentices.

COOK! Programs also requires that all participants in CAP complete the ServSafe Food Handler certification process (online) before the beginning of camp. COOK! will pay for this certification, which is good for 3 years and will be required of any person going on to work in a professional kitchen. Instructions will follow once student is accepted into the program.




COOK! Payment Policies

Registration and Refunds:

A 50% deposit must be paid at the time of registration to reserve child’s space. Balance will be automatically charged on May 18, 2018. For families registering after May 18th, tuition payment will be due-in-full at the time of registration. There is a 10% non-refundable deposit for each class. Refunds, minus the deposit, will be issued for cancellations more than two weeks prior to the start of camp. Cancellations made less than two weeks will only be granted a refund if the space vacated can be filled. There are no prorated fees for any days a participant cannot attend.

Discounts and Financial Aid
Sibling and Multi-class discounts: First child/class tuition will be calculated at full price. Second child/class tuition will receive $50 off tuition.  
Discounts will be automatically applied at the time of check out.
