COOK! Programs are creative, culinary adventures for kids and teens, ages 9 - 18. We have operated under the umbrella of Paulding & Company for the last 8 years. This year, our 9th year, COOK! has branched out on its own and will be operating out of a NEW KITCHEN just a block away, on 63rd and Overland.
At COOK! we believe in hands-on, experiential based learning. Every class, no matter the subject, aims to support kids in becoming independent cooks, critical AND creative thinkers, and responsible participants in individual and group projects. The meals we cook, daily, are made from scratch, using quality, handpicked ingredients. We shop locally, and at farmers markets whenever possible.
It is our experience that being well fed starts with being connected to the food we eat. A "picky eater" has only to develop a relationship with the foods on the table to discover new likes and loves. Along with the abundance of great foods available to us in the San Francisco Bay Area, we have a full commercial kitchen at our disposal, with professional equipment, space to spread out, and amazing chefs to guide us on our way.
We pride ourselves on sending our young cooks home with the skills and inspiration to cook for their families. And we enjoy being a life-long resource to the families we meet along the way.
